President of the Bangladesh Garment Manufacturers and Exporters Association (BGMEA) Faruque Hassan visited the Adamjee Export Processing Zone (EPZ) and urged the EPZ authority to provide complete support to the factories operating within the EPZ.
During his visit, he held a meeting with Moshiuddin Bin Mesbah, Executive Director of the Bangladesh Export Processing Zones Authority (BEPZA).
He stressed the significance of creating a supportive industrial environment for clothing manufacturing, underscoring the critical role that EPZs play in advancing industrial development.
Director of Giant Group Sharmeen Hassan Tithi, Director Azfar Hassan, and Director Ashaab Adeeb Hassan accompanied Hassan on a visit to several factories in the Adamjee EPZ.
He actively interacted with both workers and employers, gaining valuable insights into their perspectives and concerns.
Faruque Hassan demonstrated the sound relationship between workers and employers within the Adamjee EPZ, underlining its positive impact on productivity and fostering a harmonious work environment.
He urged workers and entrepreneurs to band together and cooperate for the growth of Bangladesh’s ready-made clothing industry.
He underscored the value of working together to solve problems and take advantage of chances for long-term prosperity and growth.
Faruque Hassan brought up the BGMEA’s continuing initiatives to advance sustainability in Bangladesh’s RMG industry.
The BGMEA actively works to increase public awareness of the critical role that tree plantations play in preserving the environment and the earth.
He mentioned the BGMEA’s 2021 tree-planting initiative, which included planting trees in garment manufacturing facilities among other locations.
As part of the tree planting initiative, Faruque Hassan planted seedlings at several factories at Adamjee EPZ in Narayanganj after becoming the leader of BGMEA in 2021.
He requested the Adamjee EPZ authority to support and encourage tree plantation in the EPZ area.
