A leader in spraying equipment, BA Pumps and Sprayers is gearing up to launch its latest innovation, the LM Linkage Sprayer Series, in the Australian market.
Featuring a fully hydraulic M-fold boom, this cutting-edge sprayer is designed to deliver improved efficiency, safety and productivity, operating in almost any terrain.
Developed and manufactured by BA Pumps and Sprayers, Australian sales manager Greg Williams is excited about what the new range can offer Australian farmers.
"With more than 35 years of experience in manufacturing sprayers, BA Pumps and Sprayers recognised a market need for a medium-sized pasture and crop sprayer that delivers enhanced performance and value for farmers," Mr Williams said.
"I look at the LM Linkage sprayer as fitting into a large grazier operation or as a contractor rig for grazing country, as well as suiting smaller-sized cropping, vegetable production and turf growing enterprises."
According to Mr Williams, a key focus in the development of the LM Linkage sprayer was to ensure the range was affordable, with many of the key features found on the company's large broadacre sprayers included as standard, rather than costly add-ons.
"For example, we have integrated a chemical induction hopper and flush tank as standard features of the LM sprayer which is important for safe handling of chemicals," he said.
"When we were designing the M-fold boom, we were looking at functionality and for many of the farmers in our target market, one of their biggest weed harbours is their fence lines.
"A traditional boom is generally not able to spray along a fenceline properly because of its folding mechanism.
"Our engineers put their thinking caps on and came up with an innovative new folding design for the end boom which integrates a wing-tilt into the fold."
Mr Williams said that the innovative design of the Ezi-Tilt wing lift enables farmers to tilt the boom to a 15-degree angle, allowing it to clear a standard 1.2 metre fence with ease. This feature ensures farmers can spray over fences while maintaining a safe and effective spray height.
"Depending on the terrain, the boom and wing lift can be adjusted accordingly," he said.
"Farmers could have one wing tilted up at a 10-degree angle while keeping the other wing straight, ensuring precise application and minimising the risk of spray drift."
Designed to enhance the spraying experience for farmers, key features of the LM Series include:
According to Mr Williams, the M Boom, available exclusively on the LM Series, is a game-changer for the industry.

Established in 1989, BA Pumps and Sprayers is a family-owned company based in New Zealand. The business also operates a factory in Geelong, Victoria, where its sprayers are assembled to meet the specifications of the Australian market.
"Having the capability to design and manufacture everything in-house gives us total control of the quality," Mr Williams said.
"This allows us to tailor our sprayers to the individual farmers' needs."
He said the company prides itself on its after-sales service and has an extensive dealer network across Australia. All the products are wet-tested before leaving the factory and a comprehensive pre-delivery check is carried out by the dealer before hand-over to the customer.
This year, BA Pumps and Sprayers will be displaying the new LM Linkage Sprayer at all major field days across Australia, and it is featured in the autumn edition of their full tank catalogue, which is out now!
