Registrations open for Italian Bike Festival visitors

The Italian Bike Festival is on track for a record-breaking edition as registrations open for visitors.

This event, dedicated to the world of cycling and cycle tourism, has been recognised as an International Trade Fair by the Emilia-Romagna Region, welcoming more than 53,000 visitors in 2023.

Interest is steadily increasing for the event scheduled to take place September 13 to 15, 2024, hosted for the third consecutive year at the Marco Simoncelli Misano World Circuit in Misano Adriatico (RN).

Davide Cassani, president of APT Servizi Emilia-Romagna, commented: “IBF – Italian Bike Festival is a unique event at the fair level in Italy, held in an ideal location, the Misano World Circuit. It’s a great opportunity for the world of cycling and two-wheel enthusiasts.

“Emilia-Romagna is a region with deep roots in cycling, investing in cycling tourism for many years. We are proud to host this year, in addition to the Giro d’Italia, also the Tour de France, two major international events, confirming that Emilia-Romagna is a hub for cycling in all its forms.”

The fact that more than 70% of exhibition spaces have been booked six months before the start of the seventh edition is significant proof that the interest in this event is concrete.

Fabrizio Ravasio, managing director of Taking Off, the organising company behind the Italian Bike Festival, added: “IBF – Italian Bike Festival is the most important event in Italy and Europe dedicated to the world of cycling. It is an eagerly awaited event for thousands of enthusiasts, offering a unique opportunity for end customers to meet the protagonists, meet companies, and test the latest products.

“Our goal is to offer a high-level event with commercial offerings and tourist proposals that surpass the already exciting numbers of the 2023 edition.”

The visitors attending IBF will have the opportunity to explore the territory of Emilia-Romagna which boasts 9,000 km of roads, bike paths, and off-road trails suitable for mountain bikes and e-bikes.

For cycling enthusiasts, there are 10 Cycle Paths, ranging from the Via Romagna (463 km of marked and protected routes between the sea and hills crossing the Romagna region) to the Food Valley Bike (70 kilometers through the lands of Giuseppe Verdi and the birthplaces of Italian cured meats like Culatello di Zibello), including the Dante Cycle Path (225 km from Ravenna to Florence along the path of the Supreme Poet) and the Cycle Path of the Po Delta Park (5.4 km along the water, surrounded by the valleys of Comacchio).

Additionally, along the Romagna Riviera, there are around 20 Product Clubs with operators specialised in cycle tourism. These clubs are associated with nearly 100 Bike Hotels across the region, complemented by a further 200 equipped hotels increasingly specialised in this tourism segment.

Italian Bike Festival is also the only trade event dedicated to the world of cycling that allows visitors to test bikes on two exclusive tracks: the Yamaha Off-Road Arena, dedicated to MTB, e-MTB, cyclocross, and gravel tests, and the international track of the Misano Circuit, named the Campagnolo Road Circuit, for road tests.

Registrations for the 2024 edition of IBF are now open. Registrations are mandatory, free, and can be made online here.
