One person was killed and six injured, one critically after a spectacular collision between two speeding vehicles a sedan and a pickup on the Pan American Highway in the district of Chepo,  on Friday afternoon, April 20.

The critically injured victim is on life support at Hospital Santo Tomas.

Over 100 people have died on Panama roads   so far this year,

The injured  were taken to the hospital in Chepo, by  Fire Department ambulances

The accident, which tore the engine the windshield and front doors from one of the vehicles and sent the other on to the other side of the road,  caused a large traffic jam in both directions while the paramedics rescued the injured and later cranes removed both vehicles.
