Tourism opportunities of Kyrgyzstan presented in New Delhi

Bishkek, Nov 16, 2017. /Kabar/. On November 14, 2017, the 37th Annual International Trade Exhibition "India International Trade Fair-2017" started its work in New Delhi, the press service of the Kyrgyz Foreign Ministry reported.

On the initiative of the Embassy, Kyrgyzstan was selected for the first time and is presented as a Focus country. It represented a wide range of export-oriented products of agricultural production, folk-applied art, hand-made products and textile industry.

State Digital Transformation Program “ Taza Koom” , the World Nomad Games-2018, the role of the snow leopard ecosystem and its savings in our country , the tourism opportunities of Kyrgyzstan were also presented.

The main guest of the event was the President of India and the First Lady. Honored guests were Samara Adamkulova, the Ambassador of the Kyrgyz Republic to India.

President of India Mr. Ram Nath Covind, Minister of Commerce and Industry of India, Mr. Suresh Prabhu, Chairman of Indian Trade Promotion Organization Mr. L.S Goyal delivered speeches at the opening ceremony.

For the purpose of business and new technology development, the Indian government approved the theme of the current exhibition "Startup India: Stand Up India". In this respect the Embassy also invited start-up companies from the regions of Kyrgyzstan.

As a result of the first day, Kyrgyzstan’s participation in the international event was perceived positively. Guests and visitors gave positive feedback on Kyrgyzstan’s products.

Participation of Kyrgyzstan in India International Trade Fair-2017 is focused on promoting strategic development programs of Kyrgyzstan. It should be noted that Kyrgyzstan has been participating in this exhibition since 2014. Kyrgyzstan was chosen as a Focus Country with the support and assistance of India’s state organizations. Kyrgyzstan is celebrating 25th anniversary of the establishment of diplomatic relations with India.

Strengthening of bilateral relations through participation in the international exhibition also became possible with the assistance of governmental agencies of the Kyrgyz Republic, the Cooperative Union of Kyrgyzstan, international partners in Bishkek, and air company Air Manas.

Over 220 international companies from such countries as Great Britain, Vietnam, Bangladesh, Bhutan, China, Korea, UAE, Holland, South Africa, Thailand, Turkey and others took part in the exhibition.

Over the two weeks the international exhibition will be attended by more than a million people.
